How it works at Minneapolis venues

Because photo capture happens on guests’ own phones rather than at a single fixed station, the format adapts naturally to whatever a Minneapolis reception space looks like. At a raw industrial venue like The Machine Shop in Northeast, guests are photographing each other against exposed brick and steel trusses the room already provides. At a garden-forward space like Nicollet Island Pavilion, that means capturing golden-hour light on the lawn as easily as shots on the dance floor later that night.

Riverfront venues like Leopold’s Mississippi Gardens and the River Room at Aster Cafe put the Mississippi itself in the background of guest photos without any extra setup. Historic properties such as the Van Dusen Mansion or the restored 1893 at the Historic Grain Belt, and hotel ballrooms like Hewing Hotel or Graduate Minneapolis, all work the same way: the touchscreen print kiosk gets placed somewhere central and easy to reach, and guests do the rest from wherever they’re standing — the sweetheart table, the patio, beneath string lights, the dance floor.

The Photo Freestyle (Base) Package rental is $850 for three hours though guests commonly rent for 4 and even 5 hours.

Booking timeline for Minneapolis weddings

Peak Saturdays from May through October tend to book out several months ahead, especially for venues with limited vendor slots per weekend, like Nicollet Island Pavilion. Winter and weekday weddings generally have more flexibility on date and setup time.
